Crazy House Fat Camp

So Aiden is now 9 weeks old. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh. I can't believe he is that old already. Being that we don't plan on having any more children, I really hoped to keep him little for a loooooooooooooong time, however, being that he is already in 3-6 month clothing (Hey, breast milk does a body good!) I can see it's not happening. Since I can't blame "Baby fat" forever, I have decided to start the whole diet and exercise thing beginning next Monday. Fat Camp it is. *lol*  My 6 year old Emma even told some of her friends at school that their Mom's should join! hahahahahaha Oh the things a 1st grader will say and do. I nearly crawled in a hole when she told me that she had said that to some of her friends. I asked her why she did it and she said "Because they have fat Moms too." Ah. So honest at that age.  I lost over 30 lbs a couple summers ago on plain ole diet and exercise so since it worked then, I am hoping it will still work now! 

I was never overweight when I was a child. Opposite actually. I was the smallest in the class all the way up to Junior High!  Over the summer between 7th and 8th grade, I got boobs and it was all over from there! They made me self-conscious and made me feel fat, even though I had a flat belly.  After having each of my children, I never did get back to my "regular" weight so the pounds just added up over the course of 8 years and 4 children!  I don't care about being skinny. I want to be healthy. I want to be able to watch my 4 beautiful children grow up. I want to be able to play with my Grandchildren some day. I want to live to be old and gray, I don't want to die prematurely because I didn't make the right lifestyle choices.

Here is how I am getting started! I have went to this website:

I have found that in order to maintain my current weight, I need around 2,000 calories per day.
To safely lose weight, I am going to need to reduce that number by about 500 calories so now I know that if I want to lose weight, I can't eat more than 1,500 calories per day (or I need to burn 500 calories per day!)  My plan is to reduce my calories by 500 AND exercise, which will help me lose an extra pound or two a week.

So there's my start. Now I can focus the next few days on planning meals and exercise to meet this goal!  Feel free to fill me in on your secrets!  Have a great rest of the week!



P.S. I'm in need of a button! Anybody know of someone who might make them? I would like to have one made for That Crazy Lewis House AND for Crazy House Fat Camp. Let me know if you have a recommendation!
