Halo SleepSack Swaddle Review/Giveaway ENDED

Congrats! Winner was # 65, HSUper Parents. :)

SIDS is a parents worst nightmare.  I can't tell you how many times when my kids were newborns that I would awake with a panicky feeling because my baby had not waken up yet and I would rush to check on them!  Even now with our 4th baby, I still wake up and watch him sleep just to make sure I can see his little chest moving up and down to make sure he is breathing. It's a scary feeling.  Much effort has been made to help parents keep their babies as safe as possible and one of these things is the Sleepsack, a wearable blanket that eliminates the need for blankets in your child's bed.

We were sent the Halo SleepSack Swaddle from Halo  to review and we LOVED this product!  The one that we received is actually a 2-in-1 and can be used with or without the swaddle feature so you can use it with your babies arms in or out.  This took the place of a blanket and I was completely at ease knowing that Aiden was safe and warm while he slept!

The Halo SleepSack Swaddle is made of 100% cotton that helps prevent overheating.  It has adjustable fastener strips so it can grow with your baby and it's designed to keep the fabric from getting near baby's face.  I love that it is so spacious too so there's plenty of room for leg movement but baby can't kick it off.  Wearable blankets are suggested for use by the American Academy of Pediatrics as a way to help prevent SIDS!

Halo also has a variety of additional products that range from preemie size all the way up to toddlers!  You can purchase the Halo products starting around $30 at their Website.

From now until Mother’s Day, Halo is running a campaign on Facebook to spread the word about ways to protect babies from SIDS. They are encouraging Facebook users to learn about safe sleep with a "Test Your Safe Sleep IQ quiz" and "send Safe Sleep Tips to their friends."

You can take the Safe Sleep IQ quiz and send Safe Sleep Tips to your friends at:

*This is my true opinion of this product that was sent to me for review purposes. I was not paid to say any of these things*

  1. I ditto the no large blankets or toys in the crib. I usually keep a fluffy blanket at the foot of the crib in case it gets chilly. The other night I walked into Juniper's room and she had completely turned around in her bed and had somehow burrowed herself under the blanket. She was sleeping with it on top of her head! Freak out!
Sleep sacks are the best :)

  4. I like the pacifier tip. The nurses at the hospital didn't even know that tip yet.

  27. follow, one of the tips is to breastfeed! :) Then to put baby back in their own bed beside your bed.

  28. Never allow anyone to smoke around your baby or take your baby into a room or car where someone has recently smoked.

I don't smoke, and I make sure that my fiancee does not smoke in the house or car. And we usually don't visit the family members that smoke...they visit us...and have to smoke outside or not at all.

Thanks for the chance. bekki1820cb at gmail

I see that giving a pacifier is recommended. I'm very anti-paci, but might have to reconsider for crib time only with second baby.
