I love doing fun things with my kids and according to them, the messier the better! We love to do things together in the kitchen such as baking cookies and the kids also love doing projects such as building and creating things. One of their favorite things to do is play with Pla-Doh but ever since they were little, they have put it in their mouths! Now that they are getting older it's not so much a problem but I sure would have loved to had some Yummy Dough when they were younger!!
Yummy Dough is edible modeling clay that you mix, shape, bake and eat! That combines all of my kids favorite things to do into one project!!! I don't have to scold Joshua anymore for eating the dough because it's ok for him to eat! We received one box of Yummy Dough that included 4 colors of mix, (red, yellow, blue and green) a modeling tool and a water dropper. I was really impressed with how easy it was to make and the kids pretty much did it all themselves!
First, we just dumped the powdered mixes into bowls.
Then you fill the dropper with water and squirt into the bowls.
Mix the dough.
Knead the dough with your hands.
And start creating masterpieces!
We had a blast and made a BIG mess!
After we were all finished, we baked them and ate them and they were YUMMY! I was a little worried about the mess we made but everything wiped right up with a wet rag.
We had a BLAST playing with Yummy Dough! It was a really fun alternative to Pla-doh and much tastier too!
