Powermat Review & Giveaway

There is definitely not a shortage of electronic devices in the Crazy House!  We have a total of 4 cell phones, 2 DS Lites, 1 DSi, a PSP Go, an iPod, iPod Touch and the list could probably go on and on. What this means is a TON of chargers.  It's amazing how many cords I have to go through before I find the one I am looking for and then I have them plugged in every room of the house!  It's such a mess. And don't even get me started on the tangled mess when we go on vacation! It's no wonder I was so ecstatic when a Powermat box showed up on my doorstep today!

Generally I am electronically challenged. Seriously. I can't operate half the devices my kids can but the Powermat was so easy to use once I figured out what we were actually sent!  The first product we received was the Home and Office Mat.  The Home and Office Mat charges 3 powermat enabled devices at one time. I love that it had light and sound indicators so I knew when I was charging my devices correctly!  The Home and Office Mat came with a Powercube Universal Receiver with 8 tabs which makes it possible to charge hundreds of devices on the Powermat! Some of the things I loved about it!

*Communication between the Mat and the Receiver allows the mat to deliver an exact amount of power for the proper length of time so that the transfer of power is safe and efficient and no energy is ever wasted.

*A unique sound tells you that a solid connection has been made and your device is charging. A second, similar sound is heard when the device is removed.

*Each access point has a corresponding light indicator that informs you that wireless charging is occurring.

*When a device reaches full charge, power is shut off to that device. This not only saves energy, but it also prevents overcharging of the device’s battery, which can shorten battery life.

The second product we received was the Portable Mat.  The Portable Mat does the same thing as the Home and Office but it is compact. It folds up so it doesn't take up so much room when you are traveling.

We also received receivers so we could charge our DSLites, DSi and our PSP. I was just amazed that we could charge so many things at once without a mess of cords.

When we opened the box from Powermat and our 8 year old saw it, he informed me that his class had found Powermat on the internet when they were looking for cool new inventions!  I would definitely say the Powermat is an awesome innovative product that is going to make our lives much easier and a lot more organized!!
