Jack's Harvest Frozen Organic Baby Food Review & Giveaway

Our baby is now 7 1/2 months old and is JUST now finally starting to eat solids. We had every intention of starting him at 6 months but this is yet another example of how every baby is different. Because he took such little interest and pretty much refused every kind of baby food we offered him, we opted to wait a bit. We were given the opportunity to try some Jack's Harvest Frozen Organic Baby Food and to say that were happy with it wouldn't even begin to describe our experience!!!

First of all, I couldn't believe that the 4 bags of food we received actually showed up still frozen! After coming home on a day that had been in the mid 90's, I saw the box on my step and groaned but when I opened it, all of the baby food was still frozen solid!!!

It was lunchtime and I was super excited to try it out especially when I saw the great flavors! We received Applesauce (with a dash of cinnamon), Tango w/ Mango (With a hint of Lime!), More Peas Please (With a hint of mint) and Sweet on Broccoli (With a dash of cinnamon)!!  Each flavor was sealed in a bag and each serving was frozen into a fun shape!  I popped one of the applesauce servings into a glass bowl and microwaved it for 20 seconds, stirred it up and then stuck it back in for another 10 seconds and it was perfect. So less than 1 minute to thaw and prepare=a major plus with me!

I have to admit. Baby food makes me sick to my stomach just looking at it. The smell usually makes me gag. But there was something different about the applesauce from Jack's Harvest...so I stuck my finger in it and tasted it. It was so yummy! So then my 5 year old said he wanted to try it and he loved it too! All the while, the baby is sitting in his high chair with his mouth open waiting patiently for his!!!I can honestly say, for the first time, our baby ate the entire serving of both the Applesauce and the Mango (Which is also yummy)!!!  He has NEVER eaten a full serving of anything but he was smacking his lips wanting more of both of the fruits so that was HUGE!

I'm going to admit...I do not like peas or broccoli so I didn't try either (shame on me!) but our baby, once again, loved every bite of both of the veggies! My husband actually fed him which he NEVER does because usually whoever feeds him gets covered in baby food from where our baby spits it all out but he gladly feeds him the baby food from Jack's Harvest because our baby eats every bite!

As an extra special treat, our baby LOVES when we cut a frozen applesauce or mango in half and put it in his mesh feeder! Not only is it a cool, yummy treat but it helps with his sore gums from teething too!

I don't know if Jack's Harvest is so yummy because of the high quality fruits and veggies or if it's because of the awesome extras they put in to get it tasting good but whatever it is, it has this mama shopping for more!  I am a bit disappointed that it can only be purchased in a few select states (That we don't live in of course) but you can purchase Jack's Harvest online on Amazon!

A Little More About Jack's Harvest:

Jack's Harvest uses only the best quality seasonal organic produce, hand selected from local farmer's markets by Jack's mom, Heather. All of Jack's Harvest offerings are prepared in a pristine certified organic kitchen. It is Heather's "happy place."

Jack's Harvest baby food is prepared in small batches and gently cooked, when necessary. In keeping with her environmentally friendly conscience, Heather composts all the fruit and vegetable peels.

Sometimes fruits and vegetables are blended together, like go bananas with a cherry on top, other times a smidge of herb or spice, like mint or cinnamon, is added. Once the texture is just right, the puree is quickly frozen to capture nature's fresh flavor, vibrant color, rich texture and essential nutrients.

Jack's Harvest baby food is frozen in adorable heart-shaped cubes perfectly portioned to 1 oz. for So Smooth or 3 oz. for A Little Lumpy. 12 oz. of the flavor are then carefully packaged in a tamper resistant resealable bag ready for delivery to your door.
