Every Mama knows that if there is one thing a baby needs it's a good blanket!  We love baby blankets and we have several but none of them are special. They are all your very ordinary, typical blanket that we could cetainly live without. We were recently sent a very special blanket to review from NotyBaby and it has to be the most AMAZING blanket we have ever had, hands down!!

What we thought:

First of all, I loved the way this blanket arrived! It was folded perfectly and wrapped  up with a ribbon tied around it!

Second, the giraffe print is so modern and cute!!!  I love the color blue but it gets very plain and boring and it seems that's how you find the typical baby boy blanket. This one is so whimsical and fun and so far from plain! On the opposite side of the print is the softest material I have ever felt. Our baby loves to snuggle up with this blanket!!!

I worked in sales in the new home building industry for several years and was laid off when the housing market suffered. I couple of months later, my husband and I found out we were expecting. I got a chance to go back to work for a national builder while I was 6-months pregnant but we decided that it would be best to be extra cautious during the rest of my pregnancy and avoid stress as much as possible (and you can imagine how stressful the housing industry can be). So my husband and I decided I would wait til my son was 6 month old before I go back to work… I am definitely the workaholic type and never considered being a stay at home mom. Once my son was born, it was a whole different story!
I never wanted to leave my son… he became my world and I couldn’t stand the thought of going back to work. I was having too much fun being a mommy to think about working away from him. So I had to find another way to make some income to help out our household… without leaving my son on a daily basis.

The birth of NotyBaby:

Once I found out we were expecting our little son, the obsession for anything baby began! To prepare for the baby I started knitting baby blankets and booties and getting the nursery ready. I sought out baby items that didn’t look too “babyish or cutesy.” I checked out tons of baby boutiques within Southern California searching for just the right things for my son. I loved a lot of the stuff I saw in the baby boutiques but I didn’t want to pay the boutique prices. I examined how many of the items were made. Then, with the help of another pregnant friend, I rediscovered my sewing skills from grade school and my passion for amazing fabrics!

I started off by making blankets & burp cloths for my baby and for friends as shower gifts. I started getting referrals and special requests from friends and family for my creations that I wanted to have a forum so people can view my creations.

The name "Noty" was my nickname when I was growing up. My logo was inspired by my son, who likes to hold his blankie while sucking his thumb. NotyBaby Boutique was created from a desire to find fashionable baby accessories. Our fabric combinations and selections don't follow typical baby color schemes/ themes. You’ll see skulls, crossbones, unexpected colors and prints in my shop… Every baby accessory with the NotyBaby name is originally inspired with today's mommy and baby in mind.

All our items are handmade with quality materials that are personally hand-picked from our local suppliers. Each item is topstitched to ensure durability and made in a smoke-free and pet-free environment. Made in the USA.


We are now NotyBaby's hugest fans!!!  We think the products are amazing and I have been telling all of my pregnant friends how much they NEED a Notybaby blanket! Not only did we love the blanket we received but the huge selection of bibs, burp cloths, blankets, everything you need for your precious little one is just wonderful!!!
