WAT-AAH Review and Giveaway!

I don't know about you all, but here in Ohio it went from really cold to really hot really fast! The temperature has been near the 90's for a couple of weeks now and one of the things I really worry about with my children is hydration! They love playing outside when it's hot and I really stay on top of trying to get them to drink a lot to keep hydrated and cool but I have to practically force them to drink water!  What I found that they will drink though is WAT-AAH!!!

I love the story of how WAT-AAH was founded! WAT-AAH is a NYC based company founded by Rose Cameron after she asked her son Jack why he hated drinking water and he responded, "I know it's good for me, but it's so boring." So Rose set out to create a water that was "cool" enough for kids to get excited about thus WAT-AAH was born! With 1 in 3 children in the US considered overweight, WAT-AAH has a clear mission to encourage children to steer clear of sodas and other sugary drinks and go for a healthy alternative....WAT-AAH!

My kids were definitely excited about the WAT-AAH! The eye-catching bottles were a big hit! Andrew was getting ready to get tested for the gifted program at school so they decided he should get the "Brain" WAT-AAH! Emma had Gym that day so she thought she should have the "Body" WAT-AAH. Since Joshua already is so energetic, Andrew and Emma decided he should NOT have the "Energy" WAT-AAH so they gave him the "Power" WAT-AAH. It was so funny watching them drink it and tell me how "SUP-AAH they felt!" They loved the bottles so much that they decided they should wash them out after they were empty and they actually refilled them with more water! That was a great moment for me!

WAT-AAH currently has a new campaign, "Don't Drink ____, Drink WAT-AAH, encouraging children to choose WAT-AAH over other drinks. I think it's a fabulous idea! What do you think?

GIVEAWAY!

One of you are going to win a mixed case of WAT-AAH as well as other goodies such as stickers, pencils, tattoos, etc. for your children!

Be Alert for Children Review and Giveaway CLOSED

Winner was #2, MommyFox.

Summer vacation has started for hundreds of thousands of children all over the country which means children will be outside in masses!  Our children ride bikes and play ball outside every single day that the weather permits and I know they aren't the only one's.  Every year, thousands of children are injured or killed by preventable accidents involving speeding and unaware motorist. Because of this, the creators of Childsafety.com has created a sign to show motorists when children are at play!

The  bright yellow driveaway sign was created by Leslie Saba, a mother of 4, in hopes to get motorists to slow down and be alert to children at play.  We come from a neighborhood where there are dozens of children running around and playing in their yards and I have always been frustrated seeing cars come flying down the road. I put the sign up in the corner of my yard and saw a HUGE difference in motorists speed within hours of putting it up. It's large and bright enough so motorists can see it in plenty of time to slow down for your children.

What a great idea!  Anything to help keep our children safer is an awesome product to me!

GIVEAWAY

One of you are going to win one of these great signs to help keep YOUR children safer!  I have made this giveaway simple to win!

Vtech MobiGo Review and Giveaway! CLOSED

Congrats Debbie Stanton, #210

As a parent, I spend a great deal of time searching for quality products for my children. I am always on the lookout for products that they can learn from and Vtech has consistently surpassed my expectations in that category by creating products that make learning fun!!  We have been purchasing Vtech products for our children since they were born and have always been impressed with their innovative approach to helping children learn.

Vtech has created a new product that far surpasses any learning product that I have encountered on the market. The MobiGo is an AWESOME new handheld device that has touch-screen capabilities allowing children to tap, flick, pat and drag and drop mimicking the same technology as adult devices.  The MobiGo also has a slide-out Qwerty keyboard!
MobiGo consists of fun games that teach math, vocabulary, spelling, logic and categorization.
In addition to the included title, you can also purchase additional titles including Ben Ten Ultimate Alien, Mr. Men and Little Miss, Disney/Pixar’s Cars, NASCAR, Disney Fairies, Shrek, Disney Princess, Super Hero Squad, Dora the Explorer, Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 3 and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

The MobiGo also includes a USB Cable for interactive learning online so children can upload their scores to earn rewards!

The MobiGo was created for chidren aged 3-7 and will retail around $59.99 which is a steal!  We purchased our 5 year old a DSi bundle for Christmas for nearly $300. It was difficult for him to play and the features were overwhelming to him. The MobiGo was so easy for him to use which has saved us a lot of frustration. He just pops the cartridge in and turns it on and that's it! He can easily play the games without anyone having to help him and that is important to me. When we are on long roadtrips, the kids always take their handheld games with them and the Mobigo is definitely going to be a must-have on every trip!

The MobiGo will be available for purchase June 7th at Toys R Us and on their Website.

GIVEAWAY

One of MY lucky readers are going to win a MobiGo!

Another week has come and gone and it's FRIDAY!

I can't believe it's Friday again already!  This means only 1 day of school until Summer Vacation!  I have no idea how I am going to keep these crazy kids occupied all Summer. Guess it's time to start planning!  At least for the next couple months we will be PLENTY busy with Andrew playing baseball. He plays on a team for the city recreation department and also on an All Star Tournament Team. I think he's going to play 2nd base this year which is awesome because he is really good there! Such an athlete he is! We are so proud of him.

In other news, Baby Aiden is getting HUGE!  3 1/2 months old already and he is a whopping 16 lbs. He is really holding himself up good now!  The colic has passed and he is such a happy baby, always laughing and cooing at his big brothers and sister!  He is such a Mama's boy too!

Some friends of ours gave us this awesome Evenflo Exersaucer. Aiden LOVES it. It has all the bells and whistles and he is fascinated by the colors and sounds.

I can't believe that the Ice Cream Trucks are already out here where we live too!  I have already had to break it to the kids that we will NOT be buying ice cream from them every day so not to make a habit of it. It usually costs anywhere between $5-9 for one stop which I find completely absurd! I can buy 3 BOXES for that price. *lol* I snapped a pic of them the other day from inside...I could see the look of  horror on the ladies face as 3 kids aged 8 and under tried to figure out what they could buy with $5. I keep thinking maybe if my kids drive them crazy enough they won't come back but they always do. Haha  Good thing Drew is so good in Math so he was able to figure out what they could get to make sure there was no change left. Of course he is smart enough to figure out that he could get the $2 Spongebob and that only left $1.50 Screwballs for Josh and Emma. Smart kid.

I hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend making lots of wonderful memories with your families!

Swaddle Designs Review & Giveaway CLOSED

Winner #105, Joel.

One of the main essentials for every baby is swaddling blankets.  There is nothing more I love than a soft, cuddly blanket wrapped around my sweet little baby and Swaddle Designs is a company where you can get the most AMAZING blankets!
One of their new arrivals is the Triplets Paisley Collection created by Nicole, Erica and Jaclyn in collaboration with Lynette Damir, founder of Swaddle Designs. This print is AMAZING!

Not only are the colors really pretty, but the blankets are so soft!  We received the Kiwi Paisley and it is definitely our favorite blanket now.  This is the only swaddling blanket that has the directions on how to swaddle sewn right into the blanket!!  The first time I swaddled our little guy in this blanket, he slept for 7 hours straight without waking up.  My favorite part is that these blankets are larger than the traditional swaddle blanket so I could really wrap the baby up tight in it. We have also used this blanket as a way to shield our baby from the sun and for him to lay on for tummy time!   He doesn't like to have his arms swaddled anymore now that he has gotten a little older but we still wrap him up in this blanket every night!

The Triplets Paisley Collection was recently featured on the Doctors TV show and Lynette Damir gives instructions to a new Mom on how to properly swaddle her baby! You can watch the clip Here!  The blankets are also a favorite among many celebrity Moms!

I would not hesitate to say that an awesome blanket from Swaddle Designs should go on every Mom's list of must haves. These would make great baby shower gifts for any new Mom!

GIVEAWAY

Swaddle Designs is going to give one of you your own blanket from the Triplet Paisley Collection in your choice of either Kiwi or Pastel Pink!

Review of Classroom Plus

Since becoming a parent, I have always had a vision in my mind of having a nice, quiet place in our home where our children can study and do their school work.  Now that 3 of our children are in school, I have been searching for supplies so we can create a casual, classroom like space for our children to utilize for this purpose.  I recently saw a company called US Markerboard while browsing Facebook and I was completely impressed by their selection and prices!  One of their websites is Classroom Plus and I found so many great products that we could use here at the Crazy House while searching through their easy to browse website!

First of all, we are completely unorganized and really need help getting our supplies in order so I love these storage containers! It seems like every time the kids need certain supplies to do their homework, we are searching all over the place because we can't remember where we put them last!  These containers would be great to help us store the little things they need to do projects!

About a year ago, I bought a TON of educational toys and manipulatives from a Teacher friend of mine, and this would be perfect for storing some of those things!

As I searched through their site, I also found some great Student Desks for just over $40 which is really in my price range!

My kids are also HUGE art fans. They love doing art projects, especially drawing and painting so I thought these Tabletop Easels would be perfect. They don't take up a lot of room and would be perfect for my 5 year old to practice writing his letters and numbers!  They start out around $30 so these would be really affordable for us as well!

I don't know about other children, but mine LOVE working on the computer!  I was shocked when my 2nd grader came home and said he needed to create a Powerpoint Presentation about a month ago so it would be really great to have a nice computer station for my kids to work at too, especially as they get older and have to start typing papers!  I loved the selection of Work Stations and loved their prices even more!

I also had no intention in looking for any outdoor products, however, I came across something that would be PERFECT for our family. Our kids LOVE playing outside and we have balls everywhere!  Baskeballs, volleyballs, soccer balls, baseballs....in the house, in the yard, in the garage. It drives my husband crazy but I found the perfect solution with this storage cart!

I was really impressed with all of the great products I found at Classroom Plus.  They have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and strive to provide excellent customer srevice!!
I love shopping online for the most part because I can get what I need without having to drag 4 kids out with me, however, most shops online really lack Customer Service.  If I have a question, most of the time I have to send an email and wait 24 hours or more to be answered.  This is why I love Classroom Plus.  One of the first things I noticed was that they had a "Live Chat" option so I figured I would put it to the test. There is a really cool Book Browser that I would LOVE to have for my kids. Because our children range from newborn-3rd grade, we have a huge variety of books from Baby Genius to Encyclopedias, so this would be awesome to help us keep them organized!

I clicked on the live chat option and asked my question at 10:50 a.m. Within 30 seconds, a REAL person named Crystal was assisting me! Here is our actual conversation!

[Sarah] I am looking at this product and am just curious...does it have wheels and how heavy is it? I am just trying to figure out how difficult it will be to move around.
Book Browser, Mobile - 0537JC

[Crystal] Hang on one sec, let me check

[Sarah] Thanks!

[Crystal] I'm on hold with the manufacturer.... the catalogue doesn't give much info either. Just a few more moments! :)

[Sarah] That's fine, thank you for checking!

[Crystal] Yes, it is caster-mounted, and it's 80 lbs.

[Sarah] Fabulous! Thank you so much!

[Crystal] No problem!!Is there anything else I can help you with at this time?

[Sarah] That's it! Thank you.

[Crystal] Thank you for visiting US Markerboard. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you. Have a great day!

[Sarah] You too. Thanks again.

This conversation ended at 10:54 a.m.  That means that within 4 minutes, I had an answer to my question. If I were in a store, it would have probably taken me longer than that to find someone to ask my question, and not only that, but I received an answer to my question while sitting in my home, at my computer, feeding my 3 month old!  I was very impressed!

I know a lot of my readers are Homeschooling families too so this would be a perfect place for you to start looking for some great products for your classroom!

If you go to the Classroom Plus website, you will find they are having a lot of great promotions right now where you can save BIG on a lot of products and while you are there, click on the red ticket that says "Win a $50 Gift Certificate" for your chance to win! If you mention that you read about this giveaway on the Crazy House blog, they will give you an EXTRA prize if you win!

Guidecraft Marble Maze Balance Bases Review & Giveaway ($150 RV)

With 4 children, I am always on the lookout for high-quality children's products. My kids can be rough so a product has to be really well made to pass the test at our crazy house!  I have found many great stores online that sell children's products but I have to say, Guidecraft is definitely among the best!  They have an amazing selection of just about anything you can think of from furniture to Toys and Manipulatives.

We received the Marble Maze Balance Bases and talk about a fun set of toys!

This is a set of 3 different bases that you stand on and move back and forth to maneuver the marble through the maze!

Each of the 3 mazes are different, creating a different level of challenge for each!  All 3 of the older kids had a blast playing with these and passing them back and forth seeing who could do the maze the quickest!  The mazes also have handles on the sides so the kids could play with them on their laps as well.

The quality of these can't be beat!  They are made of solid wood and the marble is enclosed in the maze by a durable clear acrylic panel.  They came ready to play and that was the best part because the kids didn't have to wait for us to put anything together. We just took them out of the box and they were ready to go.

If you are looking for a really fun way to keep your kids busy for a long time, especially with Summer vacation around the corner, definitely check out the selection of awesome products at Guidecraft. You would be CRAZY not to!

Simply Family Lacing Cards Review and Giveaway CLOSED

Congrats #4, Melissa!

Sometimes it's hard to keep little hands busy. I know when we are riding in the car, at church, in the Dr's office or anywhere else where my kids have to sit still for long periods of time, they get super bored especially our 5 year old, Joshua.  If I don't keep his little hands busy, before too long he's picking at and bothering the other kids and asking me a milion questions. For these times, I recommend Lacing Cards from Simply Family!

The cards are 4 3/4 inches by 6 1/2 inches and are made of a sturdy plastic and come with colorful strings to lace them with.  My kids have a blast lacing them different ways and racing each other to see who can get done first. These have been great in the car!

Simply Family offers a ton of really great products for kids such as the awesome I Spy Quilt and the Cloth Wipes we reviewed awhile back!

We love Simply Family products. They are fun and unique and the ladies there are so fun to work with!

Leaping Legs DVD Review and Giveaway CLOSED

We live in a time where kids are living  very inactive lifestyles. Every time I turn around there is another handheld video game on the market that my kids are begging for. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against them. We have them all and they are great for travel and on rainy days and I'll even admit, I have let them to take them to church to keep them quiet and occupied. Truth is though, so many kids today are just downright lazy. I try my best to keep my kids active but sometimes, especially with Ohio weather, the weather doesn't cooperate and we get suck inside. This is the perfect time for Leaping Legs!

My kids have seen me do workout videos countless times, however, Up Down & All Around from Leaping Legs is a fun way to get the whole family moving!  We  popped the DVD and within minutes the kids and I were jumping around and giggling like crazy.  The songs were so fun and I don't even think the kids realized they were exercising!  Nearly every day since we got it, this DVD has been in our player and all 3 of the older kids still like to watch it and move along.

The creator of Leaping Legs is Stacey Pepper Schwartz.  She has her BFA in Dance Performance from Montclair State University and her MA in Dance Education from Columbia University and has taught dance in various places for over a decade.  She is brilliant for the way she designed this DVD to get kids moving and to have a blast at the same time!

This awesome DVD is also a recipient of the Dr. Toy's 10 Best Active Products award!

One of you are going to get your own copy of Leaping Legs!

Undercover Mama Review and Giveaway CLOSED

After baby #3, we thought we were finished having kids so I got rid of everything "baby" we owned, including all of my maternity and nursing items. When I found out I was pregnant with baby Aiden, I cringed at the thought of having to go out and spend a fortune on all of these things again, especially now that we are quite certain that 4 children is a good number for us!  I really didn't want to spend a lot of money on nursing clothes that I am never going to use again but reluctantly realized that I was going to have to have something.

Let me introduce you to Undercover Mama!  Undercover Mama is a strapless shirt that turns ANY shirt into a nursing shirt by hooking to the flap of your nursing bra. I was amazed by this shirt because it was just like wearing any other undershirt!  When I nurse Aiden now when I'm wearing the Undercover Mama, it keeps my sides and back completely covered so I am not constantly pulling my shirt down. It has made breasfeeding in public a much more comfortable experience!!
.

Undercover Mama has a great video on their website showing a demonstration of how easy it is to use!  The founder of Undercover Mama, Elisa, has a similar story to mine which I thought was neat. She created Undercover Mama after having her 4th child when she couldn't find nursing tops that she was happy with. She didn't like showing off her skin when she was nursing in public either so she started creating the perfect nursing top, the Undercover Mama!  I knew this product had to have been created by another nursing Mama!  If you nurse, this is a product that you HAVE to have...you would be CRAZY not to!

Buy it! You can buy it now and get 10% off using Coupon Code USA which can be combined with their FREE SHIPPING promo that's going on right now!

GIVEAWAY!!!

One of you are going to get your own Undercover Mama!  Simply go Here and come back here and tell me what color and size you want if you win!

Playskool Hatchling Review

My preschooler just loves dinosaurs.  He has just about everything you can imagine tha thas to do with dinosaurs and now, thanks to Playskool, he has a fun, new Kota & Pals Hatchling to play with!

This cute and cuddly Triceratops comes to life with just a little pet on the back!  He wakes up, moves his head and mouth and roars!  My son has a blast roaring back at the dinosaur and it has pretty much went everywhere with us since we got it.  I am certain that this one came with super batteries because they are still going strong and my son has now played with it for hours!  It also came with a card that has all about this particular dinosaur and a place were your child can put their name.

The Hatchlings were designed for children aged 3 and up. My son just turned 5 and he loves it so it's a good toy that your child will probably not get tired of playing with too quick if he or she likes dinosaurs!  These are much easier to handle for young children than the bigger, robot-like dinosaurs that we have been seeing on the market.

Also available are the T-rex, Pterodactyl and the Stegosaurus.

You can purchase any of these for just $14.99 at the  Hasbro Toyshop.

*This product was provided to me free of charge for purpose of this review. This is my honest opinion of this product and no monetary compensation was received for my opinion*
