It's no secret now how near and dear to my heart the fight against Breast Cancer has become. Since losing my friend Jennifer nearly 3 weeks ago, my mind has been flooded with ideas on how I can share Jennifers story while also sharing the facts of Inflammatory Breast Cancer with people.
Something else I also hold near and dear to my heart is the Cincinnati Reds baseball team! We are huge fans and LOVE going to games. Right after Jenn was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, I had the opportunity (along with my children and my husband) to lead a parade out onto the field of the Great American Ballpark before a game. Since Jenn lived in Cinci, I called her that morning and told her to be sure she watched for me on TV! She left me a My Space comment shortly after saying "The next time you are on the field, I am going to be walking right next to you." Sadly, that will never happen but I do have the opportunity to go on the field in her name as an Honorary Bat Girl in the Susan G Komen Bat Against Breast Cancer contest. This would mean the ABSOLUTE world to me and I actually have a chance. I entered the contest to be the Honorary Bat Girl at the Reds game on Mother's Day and the last I checked, there are less than 20 entries for this particular team so if you would all PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE click HERE and vote for me I would sooo appreciate it. It will only take a second and it's for a great cause. When you click the link, you will see this picture come up in the box on the left hand side (name will say Sarah) and all you have to do is click "vote" and enter the verification code. You can also click to read the story I submitted to enter the contest. I was limited to 900 characters which was not much at all but I managed to fit in the info I felt was important.
Thanks in advance for helping me have this chance!
