Readers Digest.ca

Am I the only Mom who is starting to think that keeping the house clean in the summer while the kids are home from school is mission impossible?! I spend countless hours every day cleaning, cleaning, cleaning just to have my husband come home from work and ask, "What did you do all day?" Ha! I know I can't be alone. So of course I was super excited when I was introduced to the Readers Digest.ca website that is full of articles on everything from house cleaning to cooking and recipes!!!

I spent a few days browsing the website and found so many useful articles!!!  One of my favorites was the article on Homemade Cleaning Products! I love to use natural products around the house and this was a great article that gave some nice ideas on how to clean your house without all of the toxic chemicals in traditional cleaners. Of course when I showed my husband the recipe for air freshener that uses vodka he looks at me like I'm crazy and says, "You want me to waste VODKA by spraying it in the air?" What was I thinking?!  Seriously though. I thought it was a great article that gave a lot of useful information that households with or without children could benefit from!

They also had a great article on chore busting tips that I loved! The article gives tips on everything from cleaning up after the dog to making lunches in bulk. These time saving tips will really help a busy family like ours!!!  I absolutely love tip #3 so check the article out for yourself! I can see this one really working well in our home and it's a great way to get the whole family involved!

Now, if they could just tell me how to get my kids to quit fighting and running through the house, it MIGHT just be an ok summer after all!

  1. Hi Sarah, greetings from St. Thomas Ontario! I have two girls and a boy, so I know exactly what you mean about never a dull moment.

We home school ours plus two neighbor kids, and my husband is a fulltime musician. it's always fast paced and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I found your wonderful blog from a site called TopMommyBlogs. I have added you to my bookmarks, love your site! Keep up the great blogging through the summer, its great to sit outside and read your work on the ipad. Two thumbs up! - Ang.
