I think it's super important to teach your children how things are grown but I will be the first to admit.....I kill everything I touch. I am an awful gardener and I have never been able to keep any plants alive. Our attempt at a garden this year failed miserably and it was evident my kids didn't learn anything except that their Mom is better off buying fruits and veggies at the grocery! I was recently given the chance to work with an awesome company called Growums and I have to tell you.....I am so impressed with them! We were sent a Taco Garden to plant and our kids have been so excited to watch their little garden grow! It came complete with everything we needed to get our garden started and we have slowly watched it actually turn into something!! With the Taco Garden, we have been able to grow Tomato, Lettuce, Jalepeno and Cilantro!!!
These could actually be called "Gardens for Dummies" because I am definitely a dummy when it comes to planting things and even I am excited we actually got something to finally grow!!! We are almost to the stage where we can plant them outside and we are super excited about it!!! I love the easy to read instructions and we get email reminders to check on our garden so we don't forget about it! Our children even earn points on the website for doing tasks like watering their garden and putting them out for sunlight! So cool and for less than $10, you can have fun with your children by planting multiple gardens to watch grow!!!
Growums offers several gardens including the Taco Garden that we received, a Pizza Garden, Herb Garden, Salad Garden, Stir Fry Garden and a Ratatouille Garden!!! I think they are such an awesome idea and an easy way to teach your kids about how things grow! I will definitely be buying Growums in the future!!!!

i would like to try the stir fry garden. these are so cool.it is like you said teaching kids about gardening and watching hoow stuff grows but also think it gives kids a sense of accoplishment and self esteem.
