Canadian Bacon Breakfast Pizza

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned the Canadian Bacon Breakfast Pizza in a post but didn't share the recipe so I wanted to make sure I did that because this is an awesome breakfast for the kids!  How excited will they be when you tell them they are having PIZZA for breakfast?!?!?! 

Canadian Bacon Breakfast Pizza



Ingredients:

3 tablespoons butter or margarine, divided

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

1/3 cup milk

8 large eggs, beaten

1 (12-inch) prebaked Italian bread shell

1 (6-ounce) package Hormel® Canadian Style Bacon, chopped

2 cups shredded Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese blend

1 (4-ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained

1/4 cup sliced green onions

Directions

1.Heat oven to 350°F.

2.In small saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons butter. Add flour; cook 1 minute. Stir in milk. Cook until mixture boils and thickens; cool slightly.

3.In small skillet, melt remaining 1 tablespoon butter. Add eggs; cook and stir until soft scrambled. Remove from heat. Stir in milk mixture.

4.Spoon egg mixture over bread shell. Top with Canadian bacon, cheese, mushrooms and onions. Bake 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

You can change this one up too so you can include toppings that your family enjoys. We aren't big fans of mushrooms so we leave those off but you can also add items if your liking too!
