Easy and Cheap Mommy and Daughter Makeovers with Baking Soda

I don't know if you have noticed but going to the spa and getting facials and your hair done can be really expensive.  Only having one daughter, I enjoy doing special things like that with her though and she LOVES being the pampered princess.  We recently held a Mommy/Daughter spa day right in our home, courtesy of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda! Crazy, I know but we thought we would share the fun with you so you can try it for yourself!

First we did facials!

Sprinkle some baking soda into your hands and use a bit of water to make a paste to clean your face with. It's a gentle scrub that will leave your skin feeling fantastic! No daughter kept telling me to rub her face so I could see how soft it was. lol

Next, we did our hair!  We live in the country and we have well water so it's really easy for our hair to get build-up which leaves it really unhealthy looking. Instead of expensive treatments at the salon, try this!  Next time you wash your hair, Use baking soda. the baking soda strips all build-up and leaves the hair soft and "really" clean.  When we got finished, we felt so pretty that we went out in the back yard for a photo shoot!  Emma looked FABULOUS and did I mention that we didn't even pay $1 for our box of Baking Soda?!

What's something creative that you have heard that you can use Arm & Hammer Baking Soda for?

Leave me a comment and answer that quesion before October 4th to be entered to win a $25 Visa Card!!

I've heard you can use it for a fun kids' activity, a baking soda volcano. I haven't tried that yet.

How about treating yourself to a warm bath adding some baking soda. It will soften your skin, and is great to rub extra baking soda in your feet to remove dead skin.
