Thanksgiving is right around the corner now so in the spirit of the holidays, I am going to be sharing some great recipes that you might consider at your gathering! Hormel Foods has a recipe site that is full of great ideas for your upcoming events!!!
I am not a big stuffing fan, maybe that's because we always just make it straight out of the box, but I have found a great recipe that I would love to share. Prep time is under 30 minute so this would be a perfect dish for Thanksgiving!!!
1 (12-ounce) package Little Sizzlers® Sausage Links, cut into small pieces
1 onion, chopped
1 apple, peeled, cored and diced
3 cups water
2 tablespoons Carapelli Light Olive Oil
3 Herb-Ox® Chicken Bouillon Cubes
2 (6-ounce) packages cornbread stuffing mix
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1/2 cup chopped toasted pecans
1.In large skillet, sauté sausage, onion and apple over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes or until sausage is no longer pink; drain.
2.In large saucepan, combine water, oil and bouillon. Bring to a boil. Stir in stuffing mix, sausage mixture, cranberries and parsley. Remove from heat.
3.Cover saucepan; let stand 5 minutes. Add pecans. Fluff with fork.
