There's No Place Like Home

How crazy has the weather been this year?! Seriously. Last winter we had to have our driveway plowed out several times because of snow and on multiple occasions, we were pretty much trapped in our house until someone came and plowed us out. This year we have had very little snow and now tornado's?!?!?!  I have to say, I was pretty on edge yesterday knowing what was headed our way and even though the strong storms went to the south of us, I woke up to this! BOO!

My kids are so sad. We have had that playhouse for almost a year. It's very strong and sturdy and has always sat perfectly between those 2 trees. It was a gift from the kind people over at Goo Gone. When I woke up this morning, it was scattered all over our back yard. Bummer. But thankfully that was all we are dealing with. I have seen complete ruins all over the midwest including Indiana and parts of southern Ohio so I can't complain. Thank God for keeping us safe!

How are things in your neck of the woods?

  1. We were very, very fortunate that the weather did not bring us harm even though we were only a few miles away from other counties that received a lot of damage. My heart and prayers go out to families that were not as fortunate.

  3. First, thankfully you're all okay. Playhouses can be replaced. The kiddos will discover something greater! Hang tough in this season of uncertainty and hug each other tightly.

  4. Sorry that your kiddos lost their playhouse, but it could have been much worse from what I've heard on the news. We had some storms here in Georgia, but nothing major.

  10. Praise God that it was just a playhouse - lives and whole homes have been lost. Playhouses can be replaced. Praise God for His mercy on your family! :)
