New Apple Cinnamon Chex

Now that the kids are home every day for Summer vacation, I have been scrambling trying to figure out the easiest way to deal with meals since I am back to preparing three meals a day for them.  I try to only cook one big meal a day and that is usually supper when my husband gets home from work so that leaves breakfast and lunch for me to be creative with.  The first day the kids were home from school for the Summer, I was so excited when a package containing the all new Apple Cinnamon Chex arrived right at breakfast time!

Our entire family loves cereal so we are always excited to check out a new one especially when it's from a brand that we already love!  We are huge fans of Chex cereals so we knew we were going to love this stuff before we opened the box. The kids called it a mix of Chex, Apple Jacks and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. (Which is a good thing because those are all of their favorite cereals!!!) I personally thought the cereal tasted great as well.  Neither the apple nor the cinnamon flavors were overwhelming and it was a nice blend of both flavors. I am currently dieting so it was also nice to see that each serving contains low calories and sugar because those are both things that I am watching super close!  The flavors from the cereal made a yummy milk when the cereal was all gone from the bowl which my kids happily slurped up and that is always a plus since none of them are really big milk drinkers.
