Easy Halloween Treats

It's officially September which means it will soon be Fall which means it will soon be Halloween. I love this time of year because there are so many cute craft and treat ideas! We like to experiment throughout the month of September so today we started working on some Halloween goodies. I am a room parent for our 3 school aged children and I am always on the lookout for cute and easy treats to send into school and the one's the kids chose today were definitely fun! Our kids love dirt pudding and who doesn't love cute monsters so this was perfect!

Monster Dirt Pudding Cups

Crushed Oreo Cookies
Vanilla Pudding
Food Coloring
Clear Plastic Cups
Several small bowls (depending on how many different colors you want)

Prepare pudding as directed
Divide among bowls and using food coloring, make each bowl a different color
Evenly divide the pudding into the clear cups about 3/4 full
Finish filling with crushed Oreo's, leaving just a little room on the top
Draw faces on the front of each cup of pudding. Be creative! You can also add gummy bugs or worms to the top if desired. These are super fun.

Helpful hints:

* Try to find the smaller clear cups if making for younger children. The bigger cups obviously take more pudding and I am guessing a lot will get wasted.

*Make sure you leave a little room in the top so when they are ready to be eaten, the cookies can be mixed into the pudding!

*Be creative with the faces. If you don't want to draw them on, there are a lot of places you can buy monster faces that just peel and stick
