SHRED Diet, Week 2

My husband and I officially mastered Week 1 of Dr. Ian's SHRED diet and we are now nearly halfway through week 2 already! Week 2 has been much like week 1 except the calorie allowance in the smoothies and protein shakes went from 300 to 250. This was totally ok though since most of ours are already around the 200 mark! I am also excited to see some new foods coming into the diet this week. Tonight we had the option from 2 different meal plans, one being lasagna!!!  We haven't eaten any pasta so far on this diet so I am looking forward to supper tonight! LOL I can honestly say that both my husband and I are feeling really good right now, totally motivated and we are still losing weight. I told Nick that we can't weigh ourselves until Day 1 of week 3 so we will see how that goes :) I officially lost 7 pounds in week 1 and Nick lost 12. Ecstatic to see what the end of Week 2 looks like.

SHRED on!

Hello There!
I am about to start the Shred Diet soon. I am excited and nervous as well. Any pointers on how you did your grocery shopping on Week 1? Any advice helps since you and your husband have mastered it. :)

I think this is a great diet! I spent the better part of last Sunday reading and understanding the program. After winging it this past week, I have decided I need to write down what I intend to eat for each day of the coming week. BTW, with the Books a Million's Millionaire Club card and ordering online, the book is just short of $14 and free shipping. I'm looking forward to great results!

I started the diet yesterday. It was really easy to figure out what to eat and actually, I am eating less than usual as I am paying more attention to portion sizes. This diet makes that part so simple. I haven't done a smoothie or shake as those are during the time I am at work. I am thinking about getting a small blender. How do you/did you manage that?

There are some great store bought protein shakes available in most grocery stores so if nothing else, grab some of those to take to work with you. Otherwise make your smoothies at home to take along! I bought a $30 smoothie maker from Walmart.

So did you finish the entire 6 weeks? If so, how much weight did you and your husband lose total?

I am on Week 1, Day 5. I am down 2lbs so far. Hoping for at least 15 before the 6 weeks is over. I'm curious about your smoothies under 200 calories. what kind did you make? Did you just use the ones in the book?
