I posted earlier in the week that we are in Week 2 of Dr. Ian's SHRED Diet and I have noticed this week has a lot more meal replacements than Week 1. We are drinking a lot more protein shakes and smoothies this week which we love so I thought we should share a couple of our favorite smoothie recipes from the SHRED book!!! These two smoothies below make 4 servings @ around 200 calories per serving so if you want to make less, just half the ingredients. I generally do this because I use a small smoothie maker instead of a blender. Plus, it's just my husband and I so if I half the recipes, I get 2 servings which is all we need!
Fruit Power Smoothie
1 Cup Strawberries
1/2 Cup Blueberries
1 Kiwi, Peeled and Sliced
1 Banana, Peeled and Sliced
1 Cup Ice Cubes
One 8-Ounce Container Peach Yogurt
1/2 Cup Orange Juice, not from Concentrate
In a blender, blend all ingredients together until smooth and ENJOY!
2 cups frozen mixed berries
1 medium banana, peeled and sliced
1 cup milk
1 cup strawberry flavored yogurt (I use vanilla too)
1/2 tsp of white sugar (optional)
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth!
