Quick and Easy Treadmill Workout

Since the beginning of the year, I have been busting my butt to get into shape. I have a total of 60 pounds to lose this year and I am more determined now than ever before, especially since I am already halfway to my goal. I would love to lose another 30 pounds this year so I have been working really hard to find fat burning cardio exercises to keep me moving. Since it's so cold in Ohio this time of year, I have been working out on the treadmill but to be honest, I am totally bored with it and it's becoming harder and harder to force myself to do it. That's when I found the perfect fat burning workout that definitely livened up my routine. I know that interval training is the most effective at burning fat and calories, so this is the perfect work-out and best of all, it's only 20 minutes long! I am able to burn a quick 275-300 calories with this quick workout and it leaves me feeling great. If you don't have a treadmill, that's ok too! You can easily do this outdoors or on a track as well! This is a perfect workout when you don't have a lot of time! 

Fat Burning Interval Training Walk 

2 min. Warm-up Walk
1 min. Moderate Walk
30 sec. Fast Walk
1 min. Moderate Walk
1 min. Fast Walk
30 sec. Moderate Walk
30 sec. Fast Walk
1.5 min. Moderate Walk
30 sec. Fast Walk
3 min. Moderate Walk

2 min. Moderate Walk

2 min. Cool Down Walk 

If you are working on a treadmill, I do 3.0 mph to warm-up, 3.5 mph for moderate and 4 to 4.5 for my fast. Everybody is different though. For Warm-up and Cool-down, you should be moving along, making a little bit of effort. During Moderate walk, you should be able to talk comfortably and during the Fast walk, you are a little breathless but you can still talk in short sentences.
