Easy Strawberry Poke Cake

The banana pudding poke cake we made last week was a HUGE hit here in our house. So much that the kids have been begging me to make another. After giving it some thought, I agreed to make another poke cake but this time we tried strawberry shortcake. It's almost strawberry season around here so this is an awesome dessert for Spring/Summer!

Strawberry Poke Cake

Ingredients:
1 box yellow cake mix plus ingredients to prepare cake
1 tub Cool Whip
2 Cups Strawberries, sliced
3 Cups Strawberry Glaze

Directions:

*Prepare cake mix as directed on box
*Take cake out of oven and allow to cool for approximately 5 minutes
*Using the end of a utensil or other round object, poke holes all over the cake, making sure you poke all the way to the bottom of the pan

*Pour the strawberry glaze over the top of the cake, making sure it goes down into the holes. Spread rest over the top and place in the refrigerator to cool, or approximately 1 hour.

*Take out of fridge and cover with tub of Cool Whip

*Place the sliced strawberries on top of the cake

ENJOY! This cake is super yummy and tastes just like strawberry shortcake!!!
