People have been talking about the future of renewable energy companies for quite some time, but it seems like their time is finally here. There are many new companies popping up around the world who focus on some form of renewable energy, and solar and wind companies are definitely a the top of that list right now. Many governments around the world have been backing these kinds of companies, but that should not diminish their underlying value. Sure, there have been a number of these companies that have gone broke, but the fact of the matter is that you are going to find those kinds of companies in any kind of market. There are oil companies that go broke as well, so people should not be worried about the Solyndras of the world. It is hard to tell which form of renewable energy is going to win out in the end, but it seems that many people are excited about the innovation that has taken place in the solar industry over the past few years. It seems that more powerful solar cells are being created on a yearly basis, and it will only be a matter of time before more large cities around the world are completely powered by solar energy. Germany has been the leader in this field as of late, but the Chinese government has been producing new solar powered plants on a massive scale over the past few years. Although these kinds of plants have not gained much support from the US government in the past decade, private sources, such as Google, have been picking up the slack for them.
Here where I live in Ohio, there have been talks about different types of renewable energy companies coming to the area but we have yet to see much progress made. If you go to the northern part of my county, you will see hundreds of wind turbines but other than that, we haven't seen much of anything else. I do applaud the areas, however, who are making strides to try and find alternate energy sources for us to use. What do you think? Are you for or against some of the ideas we are seeing regarding renewable energy?
