Take on Allergy Season This Year with the AP170W Air Purifier from Luma Comfort

Allergy season is in full swing here in the cornfields of rural Ohio where we call home and from the looks of things, it's going to be a long, hard season. My alerts have been going off daily signifying high pollen counts which means pretty much miserable conditions for our family, especially our 11 year old son. He definitely has the worst of the allergy problems in our family so this time of year is really hard for him. He plays outdoor sports which compounds his issues so our home really needs to be a place where he can come and enjoy clean, pollen-free air as often as possible. We have tried pretty much every remedy you can imagine to help relieve his allergy symptoms but we don't like to continuously give him medicine so we have been trying to take on a better, more holistic approach. This is why I was really thrilled when Luma Comfort sent us their AP170W Air Purifier for review!

At first glance, I was already impressed with the air purifier. It's sleek and compact so it fits in with any room or decor. I already knew we were going to put it in our son's bedroom, as it is recommended for rooms up to 170 square feet which makes it perfect for a bedroom or small office.

The air purifier arrived pretty much ready to use. I just had to take the cover off and open up the filters and then put them back inside. It was super easy to do and within minutes, we were ready to operate. I especially like that the air purifier has a SmartClean indicator which lets us know when the filters need to be replaced. This innovative machine captures over 99% of common airborne pollutants like dust, dander, mold, bacteria, and chemicals. The AP170W comes with an advanced 5-stage filtration system that includes a carbon pre-filter, HEPA filter, VOC filter, TiO2 filter and UV light.

After only a few days of use, I have to tell you what a difference we have seen. First of all, you can feel the difference in the air when you go from the other part of the house into our son's bedroom. The air feels lighter, cleaner and easier to breathe. As a matter of fact, after the very first night of sleeping with the AP170W in his bedroom, our son woke up and said for the first time in as long as he can remember, he woke up without a stuffy nose.  I also noted this morning that his eyes were not red and bloodshot and he seemed more rested. When I asked him what he thought about the air purifier, he told me how good he felt but also, how he likes how easy the machine is to use. He is just a kid so we wouldn't want anything too complicated that he would have to operate and this air purifier could not get any simpler. It has three fan speeds and you can set it on a timer so it doesn't continuously run.  You can set it to run from 1-7 hours at a time which is great. He runs it pretty much continuously at nighttime but then while he is gone during the day to school, we can either turn it off or just have it run for a shorter time. I also like that you just touch it to change the settings so we don't have to worry about the kids twisting off knobs.

If you suffer from allergies or are just in search of healthier, cleaner air in your home, I would recommend the AP170W Air Purifer from Luma Comfort any day of the week! I would use the air filter in my bedroom so that I can sleep easier at night. I have terrible allergies that get worse during the warm weather months.

I would put the air filter in my son's bedroom. Both of my boys have severe allergies. When the season's change we have to use inhalers and do a lot of vacumming. It would be great and would give them better nights of sleeping.

I would use it at home. We have bad vog (like smog but from volcanoes) some days and it would really help to have this in my sons' room to help with their allergies.
