Tips on Finding A Mover

This is a time of year where a lot of families move and if you are anything like me, it's one of the most dreadful tasks you will ever have to undertake. It is so much work, and that work is doubled if you have children. I always say that you never know how much stuff you have until you get ready to move and then you wonder where in the world all of it came from. In our last move, we had a couple of weeks before we could move into our new house so we actually had to move twice. The first time we had to put everything into storage and take up camp at my parents for a few weeks while we go the new house ready to move into. Then we had to make the move from storage into the new house. It was a nightmare. I know there are a lot of great moving companies out there and my husband and I have already decided that if we ever move again, we will definitely be utilizing one of these companies! If you ever find yourself in the same boat, here are some tips for finding the best moving company for you!

*Find a company who can meet your needs. There are so many companies out there and they might not all be specialized for what you need.  For instance, if you need to move antiques or fine art, you will want to call a company like Five Oceans Moving because they are highly trained in this type of move. Other companies might not have employees who have been properly trained to move these types of valuable items.

*Get recommendations. Ask friends and families in your area and the area where you are moving who they recommend.

*After you get recommendations, do a quick check on all of them. You can find a wealth of information online, through the better business bureau and on social media sites.

*When you have your list of potential companies ready, call them in your home one at a time for estimates. Once they arrive at your home, take them through your entire house, garage, etc. and show them everything you have that needs moved. Don't leave anything out or they might be able to charge you more in the end for "surprise" belongings they didn't include in the original estimate.

*Review the estimates and make sure you understand everything you are being charged for. It is especially important to watch out for estimates that are extremely low or high compared to the others.

*After you have chosen a potential company to do the move, ask to see their license and insurance to make sure they are legal and legit. The last thing you want is for someone moving your life belongings only to find out later after something happens that they don't have insurance or the authority to even be moving you!

*After all of the above, you should feel confident in finding a mover who is both professional and able to meet your needs. Moving doesn't have to be stressful and it shouldn't be if you find the right company for the job.

  2. People think that moving is just easy as 1-2-3. But it isn’t there is ample due diligence involved in getting to know what you need and if these needs could be met by moving and self storage companies, if ever you are getting one for temporary storage. Apart from these tips, you could also scour the internet pages for any storage related news like theft, security breach, etc, so that you are ensured that your moving or self storage company could provide you with such assurance and security. Although these items are not as valuable as the items you are personally bringing to the new dwelling, these are not easily replaced as well. Thus, it is best to do your due diligence, and find an insurance to cover the costs if ever something bad happens.

  3. Selecting a professional mover for the upcoming change of residence is a big decision. Last month my sister had moved to California with her husband and kids. But before moving to California she had hired a professional mover to transport her household and furniture, and for her vehicles she had hired a car transport California service by visiting at this site. There are many great state to state movers out which we can search through online, who will provide us an enjoyable, relaxing experience during moving to our new home.
