Zact Mobile Services

“I participated in a campaign for Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Zact. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating”

Giving my kids smartphones is something I have struggled with for a long time now. I want my tweens to be able to be connected and have information at their fingertips but the Mom side of me has great concerns. I don't like to be a "snoop" but I feel like today's technology really opens up doors for tweens and teens to be more involved in things that are harder for parents to track, especially online. I know when we bought our kids tablets it seemed like they spent entirely too much time on them and this was also my concern for smartphones. I worried that the kids would spend too much time on the phones and not enough time doing other kid stuff like playing outside and spending time with family without cell phones. Recently, Zact mobile services conducted a survey and found that 73% of U.S. parents are concerned about the lack of parental control of a child's activities on mobile devices. I was more shocked at how many parents allow their children up to 3-4 hours of screen time a day!

For 3 days (August 13, 14 and 15), the Zact team is giving away three Smartphones with 3 months of mobile service.  Check out the contest and enter here
