Store Brand Formula's Unique Baby Contest

Having 5 children, I quickly learned how unique each child and situation was. I started out exclusively breastfeeding all of our children when they were born but life circumstances came into play so they were all breastfed for different amounts of time. When we did switch over to formula with our oldest 3, they all had different needs, and looking back, they all had to use different types of formula. Our oldest used standard store brand formula, our oldest daughter had to have soy formula and our 3rd had formula for a sensitive tummy. Our 4th child was exclusively breastfed for 18 months and never had formula and now here we are with baby number 5! Every baby is unique and every situation is unique so I have learned not to ever judge another Mom for the choices she makes on things like feeding her baby. At the end of the day, we are all doing our best to give our little one's a great start in life and that should be applauded, no matter what methods we choose.

When it comes to purchasing baby formula, the name on the front of the can is totally irrelevant. Did you know that because of the FDA's strict regulations on baby formula that store brands like Walmart's Parent's Choice and Target's Up and Up are equal to name brand's nutrition wise at a much lower price? We live in Ohio and there is a Walmart in nearly every town so we used Parent's Choice formula with all of our children when they were babies and I loved how affordable it was compared to other brands that had the same exact ingredients. Check out the Store Brand Formula website to check them all out and see what's available for your family!

Our sweet little Adalynn Grace is growing like a weed but oh, she is just the most precious gift we could have ever asked for. She has big blue eyes that light up and sparkle from the time she opens them in the morning and she has big dimples when she smiles. She loves being held and how could she not when she has 4 older siblings who don't ever put her down?!

Your baby is unique and that uniqueness should be celebrated. Do you have photos of your baby making a funny face? Silly hair? Celebrate his/her uniqueness by entering the Store Brand Formula Unique Baby Sweepstakes! They are looking for funny, silly, odd, crazy unique baby photos that show how special YOUR child is. Your daughter is so cute! She is wearing her Cinncinatti Bengals Shirt. My son loves wearing his Seattle Seahawks shirt and they grow up so fast! I always used store brand formula. It is just as good as name brand!!

Oh that is wonderful that the FDA regulates it that much and the store brands are equal to the name brands! I have always went with the name brand, so this is very educational for us! Will try the store brands!

Your daughter has a radiant smile, you are very blessed! I agree that not all circumstances are the same and we dont know the reasons that a mom chooses to feed her baby what she does. I'm just glad you at least tried to breastfed each of your children, that's a gift in and of itself.

I see that this is an older article but I’m so glad I found it! I recently switched to the Walmart brand formula for sensitive tummies because it was cheaper than the Similac. Today, I noticed my 7 week old daughters stools were harder than normal and she was having a hard time going, which was not happening on brand name formula. I decided to see if others were having the same issue with their babies and I came across your article. Thank you! I am going out tomorrow and getting her a can of Similac. You are right, it’s not worth savi g a few bucks if you don’t have a happy baby ?
